Ski and Snowboard Touring in Chamonix

Located at the crossroads between Italy, France, and Switzerland, Chamonix is the perfect home base for ski touring in both glaciated and non-glaciated terrain. With our vast network of ski lifts we can easily maximize the downhill rewards with relatively easy climbs. Or for the more fit ski tourers, we can have bigger days that span multiple countries.

Chamonix ski touring generally is more technical than what many people are used to from North America or Scandinavia. We regularly pass over high cols using kickturns, ski crampons, and sometimes even the rope for rappels or climbing. It all depends on what the group in interested in doing.

Example ski tours are:

French Side

-Col Crochues-Berrard

-Glacier du Mort

-Col d’Encrenaz

-Mont Buet

-Vallee Blanche cappucino tour (from French side to Italian for skiing and lunch, then back down Vallee Noir

-Breche Puiseau

-Col du Tour Noir

-Col du Passon

-Trois Cols (Col du Chardonnay, Fenetra du Saleina, Col Superior du Tour Noir)
